Were also talking about a band that specifies NO local support on bills but hey this time they were by themselves and needed the support as there wasnt a tour full of screamo bands backing them up and making them look like a metal band.

Oh well, like I said im glad the show did well.

And in regard to Strung Out.I actually find that the drummer is probably the nicest guy in the band to deal with but that doesnt say much.

where r u getting this info from? this is weird.....

I didn't get the asshole vibe from them at all. They were all wicked nice guys. The guitar player sat there and jammed and talk with us for a good half an hour, the drummer was there most the afternoon hangin out and the bassist came in and had a conversation with us for a while too. I find it hard to believe that they'd be assholes.

as a matter of fact these guys were the nicest bunch people ever and I think I can say that with some backing from Steve and others......there were a whole crew that will say that they were all great guys and considering they allowed 3 support bands ? These guys were extremely laid back and not anal at all so I don't know where you guys get the feeling they are bitches....they asked for 5 jars of jam and two loaves of bread......you guys are off whack here....Tyler ?

One of those loafs of bread ended up in the atreyu guitar techs bed....

And as Frank said, some of the nicest laid back guys I've ever met so I don't know where you guys are getting all this stuff from.

It was the other way around, he put the bread in the other dudes bed cause the other dude put popcorn in his drawer. That was one of the best stories I've ever heard.

Yah from what ive heard, As i Lay Dying are the biggest bitches in the scene. Complaining about everything from openers to time slots to the variety of meat trays before the show. These guys obviously have got it in their heads that there better than everyone they play for. I guess they forgot that they were once in the same position.
That's really weird...after spending a hole day with them I didint get that impression at all...they were really nice, and seemed really stoked that other bands (local) got to share the stage with them....but I mean that dont mean that there not assholes....but if they are im glad they didint ruin our day by acting like it....they could have pulled a Strung Out and pretty much told everyone to fuck off because there Strung Out and there the best band ever...
Last time when i opened for them with death wagon they seemed pretty nice too. But from what ive heard they think thunder bay are a bunch of fags that dont know how to mosh and just hump each other next to the stage. Althoguh this is true for the most part, hah, you dont gotta put the town in generalizations like that when there paying your way to go on tour. And i agree with what tyler said about the locals cause last time when we played i remember we almost werent allowed on the bill cause they wanted to play alone.

Im not off the whack.I have heard from many bands that AILD are extremely hard to tour with. Ive heard these stories from bands I know well. And ive also heard it from a few promoters that I know very well too.

But hey who knows maybe they turned over a new leaf or something. If they were cool guys at the show thats right on. What I do know is that based on what ive heard and what happened last time they came through town I dont have a super high opinion of them as people.

i just dont understand why you would pull that shit...it just dont make sense. why wouldnt you want to see the local talent/have the locals bring out their own crowd? why would you make rediculous demands? whatevs.
