i dunno why everyone was upset about the show not happening. sure no one that showed up got to play, but they will at another show. also, jammin isn't for no reason. everyone's just that much better for when they all get to play next. The out of town bands are jerks for not contacting anyone at all for @ least being late. Irreguardless, it totally would've not made sense to put on the show for the locals when the bar looses money from it. Anyways...
Everyone understands why it happend (or didn't happen) and i just hope that Kilroy's isn't gonna be the spot for shows anymore. look at GFK's audience recently. such a HUGE dissappointment b/c no one was there, and the room just felt empty. imo, the Apollo was THE BEST place for shows. Warp 9 is too big for the smaller shows, and even the same with Kilroy's (i do like Kilroy's better then Warp tho, i dunno why, lol). I'm just hoping we can get another place like the apollo for shows again.
p.s. miller, if u were upset about missing a couple hrs of pay, then u should work O/T. just a suggestion.
Ok, I understand the place might have lost money, keyword "might". Most of the people who came to the show would have stopped to see the band's, us, play. Some even came just to see us, and some had no idea the bands weren't gonna come. So at least more then 50, maybe not much, but more then 50 would have been there. I understand though and the bar didn't take that risk. hypnoticRayne, I didn't see you getting your band ready jamming for this show? Just saying, don't take it as an attack, for it is not, just be careful about your choice of words, you probably think we can get a show like nothing, for a Black Metal band, like mine there aren't many shows we can actually get onto. Think now, when was the last show you have seen that Black Metal band has played? Death metal bands here in town even have trouble getting shows as it is, so do not say "you'll get to play at another show" it only makes me angry. Lastly, I would like to say we jammed extremely hard for as many times as we could, my bassist had exams the week before the show, I had school and was doing poorly, and my drummer was busy also with work, and being out of town the week before the show, that's all I will say, the way things are we probably won't get another show. As for Real Black Metal in this community I have since come to the realisation that it was never really here. The few of us who listen to it and play don't really make an impact. The ONLY reason I want to play a show is for some of the Death Metal folks, and the other few who enjoy Black Metal and understand, feel and appreciate it's true extreme value, I know I can't be picky which is another reason why it is very hard to make an impact.
I am almost ready to just throw out the possibility of playing live and perhaps this truly unique experience will only be felt by the very few and lost to most people in this community. Just to add to this I would like to add that Black metal to me is very personal and is really a part of my life, and it's not some overhyped fake act of circus clowns, i am not an actor! I hope that I can play more in the future for those few who would enjoy it. We Shall See.
Unholy Blessings
