Canary Mine is playing the Apollo on July 28.  They played twice last summer, and it was a lot of fun.  They'll be playing with the Wack MCs, who are also a lot of fun.

Sample MP3: http://www.wackmcs.com/canarymine/music/Canary%20Mine%20-%20Canadian%20Strip.mp3

Their bio:
CANARY MINE is the fly four-piece band that calls itself folk-hop, but actually transcends any true genre labeling besides "a f***ing great show!" Influenced through the decades by 30's country, 40's swing, 50's jazz, 60's rock, 70's disco, 80's hiphop, and 90's barbershop, they evoke the sounds of a Notorious-BIG-meets-the-Partridge-Family supergroup...

Canary Mine and Wack MC's are awesome.  After their set, I asked them if they ever listen to Ween and they said "White Pepper is our favourite album of all time."
