I just read the whole thread, and I'm still not sure what this show is. I get that there are drag queens there, but I haven't figured out what they do. Is there poetry, or theatre, or striptease? Do they just go on stage and take turns dancing every 15 minutes? Do they play/sing their own music, or is it just an accompaniment to background music? It says "picture show". Is there a film?
Forgive me. I'm a stupid boy who has never attended drag shows.
lol no worries. Drag is basically lip syncing, decadent clothing and some theatrics - ie performance art. Queens or Kings will get on stage decked out in some kind of over the top costume or outfit (typically more elaborate for Queens) and sing along to whatever songs they choose. A good drag performer will get really involved with the song with either alot of energy and movement or have backup dancers, props, an accompanying light show etc...
Kings (females) are meant to look and act as much like males as possible, where as Queens (males) will act and dress like females, but sometimes wear really elaborate makeup, which may or may not makes them resemble females. The whole thing is kind of tongue and cheek...not meant to be taken too seriously.
If that doesn't help...check out these links for some of my fav drag queens:

EVERYONE, regardless of sexual orientation. They're meant to be fun for anyone gay, straight, bisexual or transgendered. Show up with a bunch of friends and I guarantee you'll have a good time.
