you always pick the same bands for everything, doctor! why dont you ever pick avs, or the flying flaminco's?

I don't know.  I would pick AVS for something else.  I wouldn't pick wayback to open for cephalic carnage.

I got to go free last year and it was a great show. (My friend had extra tickets) But I would never pay that kind of money to see him again. $70 bux is waay too much..and I'm poor. Not to mention, I'm sure the show won't change too much.

god dam i love ALICE cooper. everything he has done with the original band, to his solo career to his sober days and till now, but his last show he didnt die! he didnt have the guiltine, the electric chair or the nuce. whats a cooper show with him still alive. plus he needs to bring back "dead babies". i want to see him hack off the heads of baby dolls heads, that is such a classic routine. so the night of the show im gonna chill and listen to his Killer and Billion Dollar Babies albums and rock out

There's only so many times they could come here and sell their tickets for absorbant amounts of money.
They've played here about 100 times already.

Thats also for what 15,000 people? With that many people coming out they can likely afford to drop the ticket price dont you think.

Festivals are always a bargain. For example I have paid $30 to see Blink 182 and also seen them at Warped tour with a tonne of other bands for a $30 total. Same thing with Pennywise, NOFX, Bad Religion etc etc.

Good you answered your own question...the above bands are current with amazing marketing machinery behind them ...they are the ones that should be 80.00 but have the decency to consider their fan base ....has beens with not one hit since 1978 ? 80.00 ?  c'mon are you nuts or are you just getting to many free tix to call it like it is....i am not attacking the aud but when does the  " community " benefit ...they already pay through their asses for this facility to lose money on shows.....this place should be used for its purpose and that is cultural events like STOMP or TBSO shows or whatever ........that was its intended purpose.....you want an arena for rock concerts then build it...it will be cheaper for the city and better for the local ecomomy.... a lot better than the priveleged few who can still afford another dose of Alice..... do an economic impact analysis of a 7500 seat concert venue with affordable priced events and then you are doing the city a favor.........

I did a feasibility study on the idea a couple of years ago.  Results?  Confidential...

I will say this though:  Most shows in this town can't even fill a 400-seat venue to capacity so there's no way in hell you're going to be filling 7500 or 15000.

...unless you're booking Milli Vanilli and the Backstreet Boys every night.  I have too much of a love for music to do anything other than laugh at the corporate income ambition.
