Why is it, every school in southern ontario gets a decent act for the beginning of the year and thunder bay always gets a pop act geared toward the below 16 females?

If its up to one person.... i dislike you.
If its a financial thing, fundraise.
If its lack of industry contacts, get help.

These arent directed at you DAL, just sucks cuz the outpost is wicked for good rock shows.

This is in October though, I thought Said the whale is coming through here for O-week? But yea, not as big of a name as the acts that are down for O-weeks in southern Ontario.

What i think is the real problem tho is cost that it takes to put on a show there (ie, security/sound costs) It's literally impossible to set up a local show there or book a lower name touring act because its such a risk. I know the Outpost is super strict from the liquor license suspension back in 07 (?) and is going through every precaution to avoid a repeat, but I'm sure there are more cost effective ways to do that. It's being done by numerous venues in town already. Granted, yes, the place is a unique venue, but I'm sure there could be some new strategies.

I don't know all the details, but I'd really like to see the prospect of putting shows together at the Outpost increase. It would be great for the school, the business, and the student body.
If we could give proper input and not just discuss/complain/banter about this kinda thing on a forum, our time and energy would be put to better use.

Does anyone know or can answer, was last years Girlicious show worth bringing into town? I luckily won tickets, because if i had spent anything at all besides time to see that show, i woulda been demanding money back.  A solid 35 kids down on the floor, and maybe, just maybe 10 people actually drinking.
I dont even think there was merch.

If this Neverest show is a bad flop, will it affect the outpost booking real shows that will bring ppl out, such as Thrice, strung out or even sno jam?

Going to a show at the outpost is a lot like going through airport security.

I was pitched Neverest for the Superior Youth Festival and I laughed when I read the bio - "like A Perfect Circle mixed with the Backstreet Boys". It definitely made me look them up, until I realized there was 0% resemblance to A Perfect Circle.

I wonder if Alyssa Reid is going to rap the male vocals in her hit song "alone again"? does the mp3 track come with the male vocals?

Maybe they were describing their look instead of their music?
